Who’s counting your millions? Talk about being in charge of your own destiny! No one cares about how you’re investing your money more than you. Well…maybe your kids do. But none-the-less…whether BULL or BEAR, whether you’re counting millions or pennies, your SSI Oil and Gas Accounting Software has a way to keep an EZ to add and EZ to read accounting of what you have, what it’s worth, what to keep, what to sell, what’s been sold, and net gain/loss on sale.
It’s waaaaay better than an Excel spreadsheet because it’s all INTEGRATED into your SSI Oil and Gas Accounting Software. One place, and at any time, review your financial portfolio to allow fast and informed decisions on your investments. Everything you need to be informed and make an educated decision on your financial position. Transactions update to your General Ledger and to your detailed Stocks, Bonds and Investments detail report – all in one place.
SBI – Stocks, Bonds and Investments
What’s IMPORTANT - SSI’s SBI module includes everything you need to know to make an informed decision on purchases and divestitures, and gain or loss.
The Stocks, Bonds and Investments (SBI) module works like a typical sub-ledger. The investment detail is kept in the SBI module and should, of course (duh)! always correspond and tie out to the matching asset balance in the General Ledger for your investments.
The sub-ledger details include shares of stock purchased, with purchase price, type of investment, etc.
Here’s a brief overview on how it works –
SBI01 – Stocks Bonds and Investments Maintenance
There’s a bit of initial set-up involved, like adding Group codes for different types of assets - Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate, Crypto – you get the idea. It’s EZ and fast, and FUN TO DO! And General Ledger accounts can be assigned to the different asset types so that, like when a stock is purchased, added to or divested, the General Ledger is auto-updated for that change in asset position.
You can also add optional, free form descriptions for exchanges, symbols and entry descriptions.
SBI03 – Investment Entry
This is where you actually add, change or divest yourself of assets.
SBI05 – Investment Inquiry
Yep…this is where you can go, at any time, and see what you’ve got, what you’ve sold and what your financial position is on your assets.
An especially COOL thing??
You can download stock prices! There’s a website called www.EODDATA that can be used to download stock values. Once the stock values have been downloaded from EODDATA, go into SBI05 – Investment Inquiry, and select Update Stock Prices. Your SSI Oil and Gas Accounting Software integrates those stock values into the SBI05 reporting.
This REALLY IS a very cool module!!! It’s EZ and FUN to set up and use, it tracks your financial position in REAL TIME, and it’s all done in one place.
We have EXCELLENT instructions in the SSI Help under SBI – Stocks, Bonds and Investments. There’s an Overview document that hits the highlights, there’s a detailed document on downloading the Stock Values, and there’s detailed doc on adding the Investment types (SBI01), adding the investments (SBI03), and reporting the results (SBI05).
Forget about E.F Hutton. When SSI talks…people listen.
