Your HelpDesk Company ID is a very important piece of information. First and foremost, part of the process as a new user (congrats!) is for SSI to assign to you a unique Company ID. It is used by you to request assistance related to your SSI Oil and Gas Accounting Software product.
Your SSI Oil and Gas Accounting Software has developed an excellent method for getting the help YOU need, when YOU need it. It’s the SSI HelpDesk and it’s staffed 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. YOU are in charge of your own destiny. YOU determine the importance of your request by selecting a response time that fits your needs. YOU have a choice of 1, 4 or 9 hour response times. A one-hour response means YOU will be contacted within an hour of placing your HelpDesk request. A four-hour response means things aren’t quite so urgent, YOU will be contacted by a member of our HelpDesk team within 4 hours of placing your request. A nine-hour response time means nothing’s on fire, YOU need help but it’s not urgent.
And, as you probably already know, the rates vary depending on the HelpDesk plan you’ve chosen, and what YOU deem as urgent to not so urgent.
When you visit our website and make a HelpDesk request, your Company ID is going to be the first piece of information required to make your request. This Company ID is integrated within our HelpDesk system, custom-designed by Baird Archbald and his programming team.
But the $10,000 dollar question? How do you find out your Company ID? What if you’ve long since forgotten your Company ID? Or maybe that post-it note with your Company ID stuck to your monitor has dissolved with age. We’ve thought of that and have made the Company ID EZ to find. YOU don’t have to remember a thing!
HelpDesk Company ID = XXXX
(XXXX is a 4-digit number that is unique and just for YOU). Yep…that’s it. Clever…huh?
That’s all it takes. You may not have noticed it before, but now you know.
The Company ID is integrated to the service packs and yearly updates. When a service pack or yearly release is downloaded and installed, SSI knows and updates your company record. It assists the HelpDesk team to know the version of software being used and if there are program modifications that need to be updated on your system. And…when the yearly releases are installed, the Company ID is used as an internal cross reference to send an email back to SSI (the Installation Confirmation) that the new software has been properly installed. It’s like big brother, but in a really good way!
